The indoor season is upon us. You've booked your refresher course and are excited to work games in controlled elements (No rain, wind, or snow!). You've been assigned a set of two games: Ref/AR as per usual.
As you are in the "box" performing your duties to assist the referee, the game heats up. Players and coaches are giving you attitute. Your partner misses a call. Benches roar. What do you do? What do you say? What techniques do you use to calm the benches and help your partner? What do you say to appease anger and maintain trust with your coaches?
Or perhaps you have been assigned a fourth official duty at a university/college level, and have never been in that position. How do you deal with high-level coaches that use specific tactics to disrupt your focus.
Come learn how to deal with difficult situations. Step up your "Man/Coach Management" skills. You'll come out feeling confident and ready to tackle tough situations.
This session will be a classroom session at the Scouts Canada hall, in the Gibson room.
This will be the only classroom session for this topic.
