Congratulations to CDSRA Member Drew Fischer who has been awarded with Canada Soccer’s Ray Morgan Memorial Award. The award is presented to a referee that has shown progress at the national and international levels.

Drew has served on the FIFA List of Referees since 2015 and has been on the National List since 2007. This past year, he was appointed to the CONCACAF Nations League Final, and officiated in both his second CONCACAF Gold Cup, and his second FIFA Club World Cup as a VAR. In 2019 he was appointed as a VAR to the FIFA Women’s World Cup and was the VAR in the MLS Cup Final in 2020.

Drew is the fourth Alberta recipient of the award following Dave Gantar in 2018, Mike Seifert in 1994 and Derek Douglas in 1987.
