CDSRA Members Recognized at Alberta Soccer Awards
The CDSRA Executive is proud to acknowledge the significant contributions of our members to the development of refereeing in Alberta. We extend our congratulations to Maria Marshall and Laurie Darvill, two exceptional female referees, for their unwavering commitment to refereeing.
Maria and Laurie have not only excelled in their careers as referees, but they have also worked tirelessly to help advance the development of female referees in Alberta. They have been outstanding role models and mentors to young women aspiring to become referees, providing them with guidance, support, and inspiration.
We would also like to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of Drew Fischer, who became the first-ever Albertan to represent the province at a Men’s FIFA World Cup this past November in Qatar. Drew's appointment to such a prestigious tournament is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent. We are incredibly proud of Drew's accomplishments and the positive impact he has made on our community.
Additionally, we would like to extend our congratulations to Luke Garland for his outstanding contributions to the refereeing community. Luke's hard work and commitment to helping his colleagues succeed have helped to elevate the standards of refereeing in Calgary and throughout the province.
Finally, we would also like to extend a very special congratulations to David O'Neill, Alberta Soccer's Manager of Referees, on being presented with the President's Award. This prestigious honour is a testament to David's unwavering commitment to the development and promotion of the game, and to his tireless efforts in support of our refereeing community. David's passion, expertise, and leadership have been invaluable and we are grateful for his continued contributions.
The CDSRA takes great pride in the accomplishments of these individuals, and we are honoured to count on them among our members. We wish them continued success in their endeavours, and we look forward to their continued contributions to our refereeing community.

Luke Garland - Silver Badge Award
Presented to a Referee whose age does not exceed 28 years who has demonstrated dedication, loyalty, leadership and support for other officials this past year with aspirations of further developing their referee career.
