The Calgary District Soccer Referees Association (CDSRA) is proud to celebrate the exceptional contributions of its members during the 2024 Futsal Canadian Championship, hosted in Calgary from April 11-14 at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex & Chief Jim Starlight Centre. This prestigious event united premier Futsal teams from across Canada, and the CDSRA takes immense pride in the representation provided by its officiating team on the national stage.
The event featured 16 referees and 3 assessors, and the CDSRA was well represented with 13 of its members involved.
Woman’s Gold Medal Crew

Adam Benani and Michael Mund officiated the Men's Gold Medal match as Referee 2 and 3rd Referee respectively, while the Woman’s Gold Medal match featured an all CDSRA member crew with Sim Lakhyan, Michelle Holmes, Michael Mund, and Gareth Kmet serving as Referee 1, Referee 2, 3rd Referee, and Timekeeper respectively.

Garth Elgie, Laurie Hastings served as referee assessors while Layne Greenway served as the supervisor of officials. All of which playing a vital role in ensuring a high level of performance.
The CDSRA expresses heartfelt appreciation to the Calgary United Soccer Association (CUSA) and Futsal Calgary for their invaluable assistance in bringing this championship to Calgary, facilitating an opportunity for our local referees to exhibit their expertise. Without their unwavering commitment this event would not have been possible.
