CDSRA Board Member Brian Wong Named in CBC Calgary Asian Changemaker Class of 2025

The Calgary District Soccer Referees Association (CDSRA) is proud to congratulate Brian Wong, an appointed Director serving on the CDSRA Board of Directors, on being named in the CBC Calgary Asian Changemaker Class of 2025.

Presented in partnership with the Fascinasian Film Festival, the CBC Asian Changemakers series highlights the heritage and contributions of Asian Calgarians through storytelling, cultural reflection, and community impact. Brian’s recognition places him among five honourees featured this year, with their stories shared in a video series and panel discussion moderated by CBC host Paul Haavarsrud.

A long-time Calgarian, Brian is a multifaceted changemaker whose impact spans media, sport, culture, and community advocacy. With more than two decades in broadcast journalism and extensive contributions to local organizations, he has become a trusted voice in bridging communities and celebrating cultural identity. Within the CDSRA, his leadership emphasizes communications, community engagement, and referee well-being, ensuring that referees feel connected, supported, and valued.
