CDSRA Members Appointed to 2024 Canada Soccer Toyota Club Championships

The Calgary District Soccer Referees Association (CDSRA) is proud to recognize the recent achievements of two of its members, Adam Benani and Rob Urquhart, who were appointed to officiate at the 2024 Canada Soccer Toyota Club Championships.

Adam Benani, a CARD Level 3 referee, officiated at the U15 Canada Soccer Toyota Club Championship in Quinte West, Ontario. This was Adam’s first national competition outside of Alberta. He was the referee for the opening match, the Boys semi-final between Ontario and BC, and served as the 4th official for the gold medal match.

Speaking about his experience, Adam said, “Attending the U15 National Championships allowed me to learn a ton while being surrounded by officials and assessors at the highest level. This tournament helped shape what it takes to continue officiating at the next level, reinforced my desire to pursue higher levels within refereeing, and fostered a strong sense of community among other like-minded officials.”

Rob Urquhart, a CARD Coach with the CDSRA, was appointed to assess at the Senior Canada Soccer Toyota Club Championship. Rob has been instrumental in guiding referees through their career progression and has contributed significantly to the refereeing community in Calgary.

We congratulate Adam and Rob on their appointments and wish them ongoing success!
