Congratulations to our Members Involved at Tier 1 Youth Provincials
The CDSRA would like to recognize and congratulate our members involved at Tier 1 Youth Provincials (Aug 22-25) in Edmonton. Several local officials were involved in prestigious appointments, with the winners of these matches advancing to Canada Soccer’s Toyota National Championships in October.
This competition included 4 days of matches, as well as featuring education sessions led by some of the province’s top instructors, which focused on the importance of teamwork and some of the finer details of officiating at high level competition. Andrew Sennyah, local referee involved at Tier 1 provincials for the second time, shared his experience, “ This tournament is always so great because it allows us to connect with other referees and assessors that we don’t typically get to spend much time with off the field. It’s also great to be surrounded by officials that are working so hard to be at their best, and it really helps us elevate eachother.”
