Drew Fischer as Keynote Speaker for ARC 2025
The Calgary District Soccer Referees Association (CDSRA) is proud to announce Drew Fischer as a keynote speaker for the 2025 Advanced Referee Camp (ARC).
At 44, Fischer is one of the most successful referees in Canadian soccer history and is widely regarded as the best referee to emerge from Alberta. Born and raised in Calgary, Fischer began his officiating career at the age of 13 with CalGlen Soccer Club and progressed through the local ranks with the support of the CDSRA.
Fischer’s career is filled with significant achievements. He debuted in Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2012 and has officiated over 200 MLS matches, including his 200th game in October 2024. As a FIFA international referee since 2015, Fischer has officiated in prestigious tournaments such as the CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Final and served as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) at the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, and FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. Most recently, Fischer was named MLS Referee of the Year in 2024.
Fischer’s deep roots in Calgary, and the CDSRA make him an invaluable addition to ARC 2025 as he shares his wisdom and journey with attendees.
ARC 2025 is set to feature an unbeatable instructor pool, including other FIFA officials and Canada Soccer National Instructors. Additional instructor announcements will follow in due course.
