CDSRA Member Jefferey Lockyer Completes ECT 50 Ultra Marathon
The Calgary District Soccer Referees Association (CDSRA) is proud to spotlight the importance of personal challenge, discipline, and fitness. These values define both elite officials and endurance athletes alike.
This fall, CDSRA member Jefferey Lockyer exemplified those principles while competing in one of Canada’s most demanding coastal trail events. Jefferey completed the ECT 50 Ultra Marathon, a 50km race taking place in Pouch Cove, NL. Jefferey finished 2nd overall out of 156 finishers.
“The body is more capable of suffering than we give it credit for.” Jeff shared.
With the CDSRA indoor fitness testing season set to begin soon, Jeff encourages fellow officials to embrace that same spirit of personal testing and growth.
“Don’t settle for what feels comfortable. Test yourself beyond what you think is ‘good enough.’ I encourage every official to push their fitness levels as much as possible.”
Congratulations, Jefferey, on this incredible achievement and for inspiring our refereeing community to aim higher.
